Leopard Man Essay
People believe that those who dress and act different do it just for attention. In Logan Feys' article "The Society of Leopard Man" he says, "Society tends to discourage people from expressing their unique ideas and behaving in ways that are different from their peers." I believe that not all people act different for attention, like some people might drink or smoke to relieve stress. Others might just do 'weird' things just because it makes them feel comfortable.
In this article Feys argues that 'ordinary' people ,like himself, shouldn't like the weird, freakish, abnormal, and extraordinary people. Because he believes people who act and look different do it just to get attention. Feys also argue that people who act different tend to have psychological disorders. While Feys tries to persuade us to stay away from people who act different, because we don't understand them, the evidence suggests that we should get society out of our lives from time to time.
The author's claim is that ordinary people should stay away from the extraordinary individuals because they can be dangerous, and he supports this claim by writing, "Abnormal people suffer from psychological disorders. Indeed plenty of weird people do have serious mental problems." I agree with the author to a certain point. There are a lot of abnormal people suffer from psychological problems. But because there are people who have those problems it doesn't mean all of them do.
"But from time to time, get society out of your life and out of your mind not permanently (necessarily), but from time to time." I agree with the author's statement. It is good to just have some time away from everyone. Like Feys said not permanently, unless you feel like you want to.
Just because you act different it doesn't necessarily mean you are doing it for attention. You are just not being what others are, a conformist. If you are an 'ordinary' person then try and talk to an 'abnormal' person for starters. You never know if the person just needs someone to be there for them.

Five Things You Can Do To Pay Attention in Class Better

5. Find a quiet place. When you take your time to study find a quiet place. If your school library and domicile are too loud go to a public library. Public libraries are a good place to study when quiet places are hard to find. (Health)

My Favorite Mistake
One day when I came home I greeted my mom like i always did and she told me to gather all my laundry so we could go wash them. After I had gathered all of my clothing i took them to the living room while I waited for my mom to bring her laundry downstairs. As I waited for my mom, I decided to go to my sisters room so she could help me with my math and history homework.
As I was finishing my homework i headed out of my sisters room and into the living room. Once I reached the living room I saw my mom carrying the last of her things downstairs. After having the laundry ready in the living room my mom, sister, and I loaded it into the car.
Once all of the laundry was in to car i got inside and sat in the drivers seat. Once my mom got to the door on the drivers side she inquired, "Why are you sitting in the drivers seat?" , I responded, "Can I try driving the car out of the garage and into the streets this one time, please?" I sat there watching her as she contemplated this situation until she finally gave in and replied with, "Okay, but only to the street no further." I clapped my hands together and gave her a wide smile as to tell her thank you.
Once I turned on the car I took a deep breath, and pressed hard on a random pedal. What I didn't know was that I stepped on the wrong pedal as the car went shooting forward and I got scared, I didn't know what to do. My mom was yelling at some near by police officers to help me. As the officers were running my way i turned to my right and pulled the lever that was next to me, which I later found out was an emergency brake, and the car came to an immediate halt. After my mom and I had our small heart attack I just got out out of the car and hugged my mom.
So that was one of my traumatizing and favorite mistakes. From this experience I learned that I shall not do something without knowing how to do it correctly. So I now now for a fact, that I will not drive until i have my license.

Antigone Compare and Contrast Essay
In this tragic story called Antigone, written by Sophocles, we all know the main character ends up losing someone they love, whether the expect it or not. In this story some will break the rules, get punished, and lose their loved ones. Creon gets a warning from a blind prophet, whom never lies, but refuses to listen to him.Since the beginning Creon should have listened to the prophet, but once he decides to, it's already too late.
Both Antigone and Creon have differences, one of them is who they are loyal to. Antigone is loyal to her family, she argues, "... But I will bury him; and if I must die, I say that this crime is holy: I shall lie down with him in death, and I shall be as dear to him as he to me." (Prologue lines 57-60 page 816) As loyal as Antigone is to her family, she is to the gods as well, "... It was not God's proclamation that final Justice that rules the world below makes no such law." In Scene 2 Antigone tells Creon that he has no right with making laws since he isn't God. She also tells Creon that she agrees with him on she herself dying. On the other hand Creon is loyal to the state, " And yet you dared defy the law." (page 783 line 64) Creon defends the rules and the state as if he created them with his bare hands. He also finds it stupid that she would break the law when he clearly stated them himself. Creon isn't as loyal to his family, as he is with the laws and state, "... It is hard to give in! but it is worst to risk everything for stubborn pride."(Page 802 lines 99 and 100) In Scene 5 Creon is proving that he is willing to risk anything, including his family, just to keep himself fine. He is acting as if nothing besides him and his image mattered.
Just as Antigone and Creon have differences they also have some similarities. "I do. I deny nothing."(page 783 line 59) After Antigone says this it shows arrogance because she says it like it doesn't matter to anyone. So what Antigone is proving is that it doesn't matter if she gets killed for properly burying her brother's corpse. " No; death will do that for me."(line 180 page 786) This shows arrogance because Creon is proving that he means too much to kill Antigone himself, as she will suffer and die on her own, because death will take her.
In conclusion Creon deserves most of the blame because he didn't care about anyone but himself. Although he did provide a home, clothing, money, and food for his family, he did nothing else. If anyone of his family members got hurt, he wouldn't care, unless they died. Antigone doesn't really deserve to get blamed for anything except for breaking the 'rules'. But at least she will be happy with her brother.
